ADMISSIONS

In bestowing charity, the main consideration should be to help those who will help themselves; to provide part of the means by which those who desire to improve may do so; to give those who desire to rise the aids by which they may rise; to assist, but rarely or never to do it all. Neither the individual nor the race is improved by alms giving. Those worthy of assistance, except in rare cases, seldom require assistance. . .

ENTRANCE EVALUATION:

Applicants to the Electrical Technology, HVAC Systems Design, and Plumbing Technology programs are required to take an entrance evaluation to determine their entry-level competencies in mathematics. This evaluation assesses the applicants’ aptitudes with regard to the math skills necessary for our programs. Given the high level of mathematics ability required in the construction trades, applicants to the Electrical, HVAC, or Plumbing programs are required to successfully complete the Vocational Mathematics course (MA VOC) prior to beginning technical instruction. Applicants wishing to be exempted from this required course must take an entrance evaluation to assess their aptitude with regard to the math skills necessary for our programs.

An applicant who fails to take the entrance evaluation when scheduled forfeits the option to test at a later date and will be required to take the Vocational Mathematics course as stipulated above.
